Hey Mike, It's kind of fun stirring the hornets nest but we have a distinct lack of hornets. I've been posting a few dive job openings but nobody seems to be biting, according to my sources. I guess everything must be fine. Perish the thought of applying at Technip Ca or Aqueos etc. What the hell...

Anybody get any work on Deep Panuke with Allseas? Just curious, retired now and wondered if any canadian divers are on board for any of panuke.

In Quebec there are about 18 dive companies and around an hundred commercial divers which 4 out of them are SheDivers.

Just out of curiousity has anyone ever done a market survey of exactly how many divers are employed in Canada at any given time and how many Canadian dive companies are active? Has any dive school offered this info? Just curious, Bill

I've been working in the GOM since 2003 And safety is what you make of it ! So the question is are you safe? And when something unsafe is happening do you say something?

Safety is like anywhere good and bad . Methods of diving are certainly different and from a global standpoint the GOM is about 20 years behind the times .
To work there you need a work visa and they are not handing them out like they use to .
