Magnet has a potential hold of 110kg dependant on contact surface.

Ideal for so many uses : positioning youself  in the water, keeping tools in place, holding of temporary guide lines , great for work under vessels and on platforms and was recently tested on a commercial job with great results.

Can be used in conjuction with a line and climbing ascender. Small enough to fit in tool bag or pocket and only weighs 250 grams so wont affect bouyancy.

These Earth magnets are the bollix if you are doing a UWiLD in a bit of current. Should be a dozen in every Job container.
Yes stuart , great for MPI and inspection work aswell especially when you need to keep the camera still with a impatient client....
How would they be rated compaired to the bearclaw magnets also used in dive ops work ? Anyone know ?
not a strong, but it only weighs 250 grams and goes nicely in a tool bag !
Yeah, bearclaws have a place, but they're a lot bigger and heavier. If you're working from a DP vessel, then you have to be careful, and 'thread' the cowstail under the handle, so that if you get pulled off, then the mag detatches too. The earth magnets have some serious grip for their size. Always remember a keeper plate when it's in your toolbag, though. they can grip a shifter pretty good..!
