National University has a fully accredited Commercial Dive School!

I am an instructor at National University and am here to answer questions and raise awareness of our Commercial Dive Program!

Did you know that National University Polytechnic Institute has a fully accredited Commercial Dive Program?  With their certifications you will be able to step into an exciting career in the commercial diving industry! The Commercial Diving Program, offers two specialties for you to choose from focusing on either Diving & Hyperbaric Medicine (DMT) or Underwater Inspection Technology (NDT).  Regardless of which specialty you choose, all students are trained to the American Welding Society's underwater welding code (AWS).  Also, since National University is a regionally accredited institution; your credits will hold academic weight for use at other institutions. This also provides our students with the ability to receive the full amount of Veteran’s and Federal Financial Aid benefits that they qualify for.  All questions can be answered by calling the toll free number, (800) 432-3483.  If after hours, please leave a message and they will get back to you.

I will try to field as many questions as I can on here also!  Let em fly!

HAHAHAHAAHAHAA.......

For a cost of 75% less you can attend Santa Barbara City College Marine Technology Training Course and get the best training in the industry plus SBCC is well stocked with California girls.

Sorry Francisco but a puppy mill is a puppy mill operating to generate a profit and not an education.

Thanks for the comment Fred.  To my understanding SBCC does not offer underwater specialties such as NDT or DMT.  To be more marketable as a commercial diver, you would have to seek these certifications outside of SBCC, which would be a substantial additional expense for the student.  Like I said, just trying to raise awareness of different commercial diving educational options.  As always, National University remains a non-profit organization.

Regards,

You still can't GUARANTEEe any student employment after graduation. ( There are Federal laws against that). No matter how many "Job Posts" are sent to your school.

There are at least 1000 real divers sitting home already applied by the time you get the post.

Hello Falloonoski,

I am sorry to hear that there was some miss communication with your phone conversation.  To clarify, we currently offer the underwater welding course in theory and provide our students with a minimum of 30 hours of topside welding experience.  After the second month of classroom training, students participate in the practical applications of surface supplied diving almost every day.  We have a 40,000 gallon training tank that allows the student to gain a good understanding of the fundamentals of diving utilizing both demand flow and free flow diving helmets.  This will ensure that the students are well prepared for open water dives.  Our open water dives are conducted off the coast of La Jolla, CA in water depths ranging from 60-80 fsw.  We are affiliated with both ADCI and ACDE for diving and NBDHMT for our DMT students.  Don't forget, we are also a regionally accredited University through WASC.-  I hope this helps.

Best,

Err...he's burning....

ooouuuu my bad, I just breezed over the pics and thought he was welding,

I gotta retract that comment, thanks for pointing that out for me stu

I was a member of cohort A and although it's not mandated, I would appreciate a courtesy notice if my personal photo is going to be used for advertising.
