Hi, I feel I am qualified to join this club, I am now 61 and still very much an active diver and have been for almost 50 years. In response to the funny story from Douglas about military diving, here is a true story from the Royal Engineers Diving School when it was based on the Solent water at Southampton. Students were diving from the dive pontoon carrying out basic drills. The student concerned was a young soldier on his basic course. The drill was mask clearing underwater. I am no collector I separate am member in the helmet diver association. We diving with the heavy old helmet diver equipment and follow the history of the helmet diving. Under www.helmtaucherei.de you can receive an insight from the association. But what interests me you as a naval diver has done. You have worked with the Siebe Gorman equipment? Do you still have photos from your active time as a naval diver?
