Dobro si čuo Davore. Ako nisi varilac po zanimanju radit ćeš mokro varenje koje se smatra najnekvalitetnijim načinom varenja pod vodom i koristi se samo na strukturama koje ili nisu nosive ili jednostavno nisu toliko bitne da ih se vari na suho. Ako si varilac od prije i ako se možeš zaposliti u nekoj tvrtci koji uglavnom izvodi poslove vezano uz varenje onda češ kroz nekoliko godina skupiti dovoljno iskustva da te netko pusti variti na suho. Naravno možda ni tada. Moj savjet vezano uz specijalističke tečajeve je DMT i/ili NDT tečaj. Relativno su jeftini a koliko mi je poznato i relativno traženi. Pozz
very true im a fairly experianced topside welder and i did my first uw job last week took fookin hours to get a few decent beads that would have taken 5 min on surface
we were welding steel plate onto sheet piles to cover a h*** wich we later filled with concrete conditions were actually pretty good but our setup wasnt 100% so there were small gaps in places we did fabricate clamps wich we welded to the piles but still no joy the job came off pretty well in the end because we took our time and made sure the welds were solid but im sure a more experianced welder could smash that job out in much less time
we made our clamps out of angle iorn with a nut welded onto it and a bolt going through i like the idea about a fine thread would make them much easier to turn
the mask idea sounds great i threw a piece of s*** one together the day before the job and i paid the price in irritation haha but unfortunately this was a one off job so it not worth me taking the time to make any decent gear im trying to organise some more work have a look at my post in the forums thanx for the pointers ill try use them if i get more work
hey Dale Im glad you brought up travel speed, now dry welding a good rule of thumb is one inch of travel for every 1 inch of rod. Well or so they say :p I mean I usually try to crank the amps as hot as I can so that calls for a faster travel but how about underwater ? Is it generally faster, slower, or the same travel speeds as surface, or dry welds ?
