For those of you that want to get "RICH" on the Bering Sea! Forget it!

Now, if you want to WORK in a pretty cool place and experience a really cool "Work Site" then this is definitely a place to visit. I've been learning some very cool stuff about the people the area and have been enjoying some VERY REWARDING dives. We finally got started Monday on WORK Mode. Training days are over.

Though this trip started off REALLY bad, it's getting there.

God has a funny way of exacting his vengeance on those who do bad things to decent people. My teacher, mentor, guide & mining partner has years of knowledge that let's just say "A CERTAIN PERSON" ( I can't use names anymore but rest assured he will pop up and say something to validate my now gone posts!) certainly screwed himself out of! To him I can only say thanks.

In my anger, I went into Jar Head mode and sought to destroy this person ( but I made no untrue or un provable statements), I quickly realized I was wasting energy as he was already doing it to himself ( and still is)!

The last time I saw this "Certain Person", he had finally managed to get a job (I hate that word!) as a DECK HAND  & Not sure what else ) on a popular Bering Sea boat!  So be sure to look for him on discovery!

I on the other hand, have been very busy doing what real divers do. The Gold is everywhere, a few days ago, I watched Ed pan out $5 in less than 20 minutes from a hand full of beach sand.

This morning, I got to see a sample from less than an hours work ( the pulley key sheared on the compressor- dive ops aborted for the day!).The sample in the first picture comes from the front 12 " of the box ( the box is 6' long 26" wide and has 2 levels both collect gold}.

Remember- I am not an expert in this field (mining) and only volunteered to act as the diver ( my area of expertise); but I am learning and enjoying every minute of it!

The first pic is the first pan Ed grabbed from the box ( we took 6 pans fro what he refers to as the "test site" in the box).

the second is the sixth, ( there's still 5' tat has to be screened and whatever else Ed does to get the gold out  These 6 test pans from last nights dive are worth about $1000.00 after processing. My share after expenses about 400.00 for an easy hour and a half underwater! Not bad for a 47 year old Rookie!

The last pic is my partner Ed. He is a very quiet, patient, and wise individual. Ed is extremely well respected and constantly sought after by locals for advice, consultation and direction. He hates cameras especially camera crews. They are like ants, so we clean up at a friends house outside of town for privacy and security. These guys have cooler guns than the folks back home (just goes to show that Red Necks are everywhere!).

How is the Gold Quest going Jerry? We haven't heard from you in a few. I enjoy reading your blog, and Im sure others enjoy doing the same,  your blog gets lots of views.

Hey Nick! We've found a little, the "Blog" I had up was removed "by admin security software" because the individual named in it was whining about being threatened. When in fact he was the one making the threats. So it is now non existent.  How ever just to keep others posted "the individual" that stole from us. is now the oldest deck hand out here (if his drinking hasn't cost him that job yet). He put us in the h*** before the season really got to start, and my partner is so distressed right now he wants to quit. But I'm trying to keep his mind on the goals he set before we began. So with God's grace we will manage. I'm trying to find additional investors to get us thru this first season, I've got to replace 13000.00 that was taken, so we can make it until we process what we have already.

Jerry you guys must be getting rich up there as you haven't shared any of your adventures with any of us lately. How ya doing?

Sorry Ace, we moved to a nicer house, and its taken a few days to get the internet back up.

The pics are the dinner our land lord cooked for us last saturday and this weeks partial cleanups!
