owned and dove a Galeazzi RM 250 ADS during the late 70s in California.

this type of suit is larger in the body then the Jim, Newt or wasp units.

worked 6 hour bottom times and had coffee and a sandwich on the bottom.

The dive pay per dive was $3,000. per jump.

Dambed near drowned the first dive when a O-ring emploded at 450 ffw. Fixed it with super glue and dove the unit for 12 weeks straight. had fun and made a ton of money.

Oceaneering used to use the WASP in the GOM. One job I was on, many years ago, laying 12" pipe, Oceaneering hooked the startup head to the A/R wire at 1200' for a J-tube pull with the WASP. I don't know if they are still in use. An Oceaneering ADS diver was killed several years ago when the rigging failed and they dropped him. There was another company in Lafayette, LA that had a Newt Suit many years ago. International Diving? They went bankrupt. I don't know what happend to their gear. Phoenix diving had ADS recently. I don't know if they are still active. I haven't heard much about them recently. DMT had a couple of Newt Subs. They went bankrupt, too.
