Scotty,
The new small solid state laptops are great but you have to send the entire unit out to charge the battery. It's do-able but they gotta go slow in the med-lock.
Also can use an iPod/iTouch, they work well too.
I'll be up at the school shortly, maybe see you there.

ipod touch is good, Asus Eee solid state is good and inexpensive. You can get 'bigger' batteries for it on e-bay, along with an external charger, so the laptop doesn't have to go out, just the batteries.

I thought Lithium ion batteries were not allowed in chambers by the IMCA
