I came across this site lpoking for information about dive schools. Instead I get this person trying to scam me.

I feel quite safe dealing with you through this medium(Internet)has been greatly abused,I choose to reach you through it because it still remains the fastest,surest and most secured medium of communication.I know that this mail will come to you as a surprise as we have never met before,but still i will want you to take me like a friend,and glance through my short letter.
My Name is Caroline Brice,31yrs old a Medical Student ,from France,am the only Survived child of Late Mr Brice who was murdered alongside my mother and only brother last year by rebels.I am Presently in a church guest home because of wickedness of uncle's and relatives.
Before the death of my father told me that he deposited the sum of US$ 4,500,000.00 USD(Four Million Five Hundred Thousand US dollars) with a prime Bank here in France under fixed suspense account that he used my name as the next of kin , Please I need your assistance to get this money transferred to you for my education,investment and to be my guardian before my uncles will get hold of me and the money.I shall forward to you with the necessary doc**ents on confirmation of your acceptance to assist me for the transfer of the money to you.
I shall be glad to reserve this respect and opportunity for you,if you so desire,but i do urge you to give the matter your immediate attention it deserves.If this proposal is acceptable by you,please do not make undue advantage of the trust i bestow on you,and your urgent reply is highly needed today.

How pathetic is this. I find this as an insult to my intelligence and I hope it doesn't reflect what kind of community this is

Sorry I only get paid 3k a month from the VA and I don't give to charity. 4 deployments was enough charity in my opinion

This is known as the "Nigerian Scam". You can look it in google, there are plenty of examples, but they mostly follow the same pattern.

Hi Michael,
I am glad you saw through this stupid and not-very-sneaky ploy. Scammers and spammers are an unfortunate part of being online, although we try very hard to keep their numbers down. We do have a very strict anti-spam policy that I will be exercising on this poor account so never fear! Sorry about the scam attempt.
