ADC org. and credentialed comm divers
It is time to come together in this industry and realize the ADC is overstepping their boundries regarding enforcing the divers to have to pay them . If you have commercial credentials like i do and all the other life support cards ,collaborate with the ADC, but paying their ORG. in any other way than voluntary is extortion , it is getting so expensive to operate in this biz that it is obvious the ADC is in fact doing what all other large corps. do , making $$$$ for producing nothing. The divers are the industry by large and like all people in the USA we pay for paper that is unnecessary , this seems to be also what is bringing our country to the socioeconomic depression we are wading in. If not observed and taken heed to, than it will only escalate to a more difficult theatre for us to operate , as a projected result we will have people that are experienced vacate the biz and the industry will suffer. Currently, comm dive certs from an accredited schools, cpr,first aid, o2 prov, physicals w/ drug screens are sufficient, i also carry a journeyman union card , an advanced nitrox gas card , confined space card that is indefinite, a longbone xray,and a resume w/ a lot of background. Many for years have agreed, and things are in motion that can not be undone. The ADC has "acted as the hand of GOD" in this industry to long. But like all things, things are changing. Sr Divers will not (If they are Old school Divers) work under unqualified supervision or on s***ty rigs or boats. Id rather pay my own way home than escort a kid in a body bag because th site wasnt safe. The fact that you have a Union Card is only protected if your union has balls if not then your card is worthless. If your with a good union, we "Free Divers" are trying to create what you already enjoy. BIg Business again has forgotten who feeds it. When enough Divers Grow Balls and begin to hang up the phone when some one offers them minimum wage to risk their lives, the wages will have to go up because we are the industry the Divers are GLOBAL,EPIC, OCEANEERING, and every other name in the "COVETED BLUE BOOK", without us the pool will continue to fill with unqualifed Tender/Diver students who will eventually get hurt or killed due to ignorance, ego, and lack of experience. A Real DIvers can survive out of the water for extended periods because they often posess the skills of several crafts where land dwellers only learn one craft in their lifetime. The Storm is brewing brother, it has been for a generation, divers have died with and without it. The old ship is weathering its final storm, save your money work hard for you and your family. Be proud that your skills are valued and envied, respect the rules and the code we as divers live by and let buisness kill itself. You are your brothers keeper watch his and her backs regardless of ego animosity or anger on the water and below you are each others lifeline you have the right to say no or go - use it.

THANX, i have been listening to quite a lot of divers complain about this and i thought i would discuss it on my page or the site , i agree w/ the ADC on some things , stay active as the org. does also.
