Getting out of the U.S. Army in a few months and trying to decide on going to school in England for a HSE certification or a state side school.  I know a State side school will be close to home, but after reading this article http://mynorthwest.com/646/2235341/Deadly-Dives--The-push-for-comme..., I feel that going for an HSE cert would be more benificial since from what I have come to read on they have regulations and standards in place to protect the divers.  Would like some better understanding and to see if my reading is accurate, and want to make the right choice first.  and with regards to the article, hurts to say it, I feel the U.S. Government short cut commercial divers lives to pave way for more money.  Since when is a life worth less then money?

In the US I believe you can get the same Cert from Santa Barbra City College in California and DIT up in Washington. Check with them on that.
