Rat Hat is one POS!
I remember rathats when in the 80's never could get used to that regulator tube.

its all the best things about a garbage pail and a snorkel all rolled into one.

As long as you dont want to breath and talk at the same time they're great

This was the answer to the Widolf mask, The Ocean Systems band mask and the Heavy Gas Resurculator Helmets for use in Bells.

It was in house helmet only for Oceaneering and Can Dive.

When you wanted to chit chat you free flowed then went back on demand.

Mouth piece would also act as thermo heater to reduce cold gas.

Neck ring in picture was for converted jap dress for use in cold water dives. You could turn valve handle on neck ring and inflate or deflate dress.

Kept your ears dry and had double exhausts also had hot water heater for gas mtd. on back.

They sure as hell got there money out of this one.

Back in the 60s in house cost was around $1500.00

they made a tough hat, I doubt if a Super Lite could take this abuse and still keep on ticking.
