What about a handle running side to side instead of front to back. You would carry the hat sideways but it would be easier to hand the diver his hat or to recover an unconscious diver. IT may not look cool though or be streamlined.

A better way to mount a camera and or light would be nice. Those little two bolt brackets kirby has always losten up. And hose clamps work well but your always switching hats after every dive
