504 metres was the deepest dive reached by divers under controlled conditions. Many of those guinea pigs were severely injured in that experiment. The battle by surviving North Sea Deep Sea divers from the mid 60's to the early 80's (who worked at 150 metres) goes on after evidence proving the Norwegian state knew from the beginning about the long term illnesses and dangers.
