Deadhead heart pine cooler with iron hardware pictured on my photo's. Do table's, bench's, hat boxes...nothin to big.
Ed, As a young hand I wrote you while working in South Africa 1975, you wrote back that N.O. was the diving industry capital. When I did get there in 1976 you were leaving for TX (field boat bus.) As you suggested, I found an ole' diver that worked a lot, he threw me the keys to his 76' Chevy PU a Gulf Oil CC and said be around when I want you, that was Chuck Gates.Did a lot of inshore const. & and a ton more salvage work, Murphy Pacific to the Searle Group, in the late 70's early 80's Houston to Saudi Arabia if it blew up, or sank we were on it, heck of a place to learn and find my pace, as Chuck had said. Any way been all around the world to the Gulf of Mexico, I just wanna say Thanks for taking the time for a young hand and puttin' him on the right path. Paul Standish
Thanks for the add, really dig your pics from back in the day, awesome doc**entation of our past! I especially enjoy and respect the work done by you gen 2 divers in your ingenuity in creating your own distinct systems, helmets, masks and .... whatever that one thing I saw once was... really great work. Great example of pragmatic problem solving with the sandwiched lead idea for ballasting your helmet, also could kind of tell that you intended a second stage regulator on the front before it got put there, preemptive proactive planning; our professions hallmark.
