National University offers the standard ADCI/ADCE Commercial Diving certification that is accepted and acknowledged everywhere in the business. They also allow to specialize in either Non-Destructive Testing & Inspection or Diver Medical Technician. I am a DMT so I am not too familiar with the NDT credentials, but I do know that they are qualified as a Level 2 Weld Inspector by the end of the course/experience hours. With the DMT portion, you become a National Registry accredited EMT-B, hyperbaric chamber experience, more than the required dive time for ADCI and experience with advanced dive medicine. The entire course for either specialty lasts 8 months. A word of caution: the administration is horrible. However, the instructors make it all worth while. There is also job placement.
