Unfortunately what little offshore work in Can. originates on east coast, then its job by job. technip, allseas, eyc. best bets. There is still a bit of inland work coming thru locally, but its hard nailing it down without a local to guide you. The union isn`t as hard core as offshore guys, a little on the sensitive side.-bill

Hiya Mikko, I came from pile butt/diver background to starting offshore Bass Strait early 70s. Domestic construction background=invaluable. It is unfortunate that offshore opportunities are flat for at least the near future, but it is an ideal time to upgrade certs. Are you working out of Victoria or local 2404? bill
