Yeah well they were bloody sending us down with SCUBA! And i called my boss and explained politely yet firmly that i didnt think its safe and told him of pain in my ears. Rather than reassure me the works safe he got heavy with me and tried bullying me into it with threats. Thats b******* man. And hey i can tell your not an a****** or anything, and i didnt mean to come across as one... its just i gave you attitude cos your "get over it" comment stuck in my craw. Man i can tell you im no p****. Im not scared of hard work. And thinking back on things i dealt with the wh*** episode that side correctly. I trusted my gut and in a group of 4 us was the only one with the balls to say something. I got no regrets and i can still hear fine :) Anyway Chad, take care of yourself and all the best! Cheers Mate

Late reply i know but hey listen here buddy, i didnt learn about jackhammering at dive school i will admit, but i did learn when to walk away, nobody puts a price on my health. So if i aint comfortable with the job i make the call. Id expect as an offshore diver you'd have the same attitude. But yeah i did look it up afterwards and pneumatic jackhammering is common in diving. Perhaps the one i was using was potent cos it killed my ears??
