What do you like to do with your down time / onshore time?

I am getting ready to retire from the Army and would like to use my GI Bill to get into Commercial Diving. I live on the water and enjoy just about any water activity. I am looking for information on the best way to approach this as well as any advice from former military members who may have done the same thing.
