This is a replica of John Lethbridge 's diving engine. Lethbridge is credited with building the first atmospheric diving suit in 1715.

I agree with you Ace if it wasn't for Lethbridge, Smeaton and Freminet where would diving be today. They were certainly on the cutting edge of technology. Too bad it would be another 170 years before Jacque Cousteau would introduce Scuba diving to the world.

One of my favorite guys this guy was on the cutting edge back in the 1700's
