"Made by Roberto Galeazzi. The Turret was also used to salvage the rich treasure of the Egypt, from 450 feet deep.

The diver entered through the top lid,was bolted in and lowered to the wreck on the sea bottom. He could look out through the 11 glass ports and direct the grabs on the cranes that hauled up the treasure to the salvage boat Artiglio.

If the turret's cable broke or became entangled, the diver could drop a ballast weight and float to the surface."
