I also heard(but am still trying to check the facts) that some sat guys have had to take a £400 a day pay cut. Will try to find out more, as this could just be a vicious rumour.
Any comments?

This is what I've just been sent:
Bluestream on the Northern River have just dropped the day rate by £100 p/d. This is from one of the guys on the boat.

Its probably due to the Euro being as strong as the pound 500e per day is far more than the North Sea air diver is making, hence the British can move in pay union rates & undercut the Dutch.
But thats just the way it is . We never got a pay rise when the arse fell out of the dollar. Did we.
