All of my animals ever have been rescues but the ones currently living with me in order of date I saved them are Tesla and Mongrel, cats. They're sisters. A lady was offering them off of craigslist and I went to get 1 and they were living out under her shed so she got a broom laid down on the ground and smacked them all out from under the shed. I said I'll take all 4, 2 of the 4 had neurological disorders and had seizures and couldn't eat so they were put to sleep. My ex wanted to keep Tesla and Mongrel so when I moved to houston for school they stayed with him, he emailed me two weeks ago letting me know he was putting them back on craigslist if I didnt come get them because he couldn't deal with them, so I arranged for a friend to keep them until the next time I was going to be in Dallas and now have 3 cats and a huge dog in a tiny apartment.

Marley, dog, wandered up to my friends apartment with his face and stomach covered in cigarette burns. When my friend called me to tell me she got a dog and I went over there, he was hiding under the table so I sat down on the floor and after a few minutes he walked up behind me and put his head on my shoulder and I put my arm around him and gave him a hug. I told my friend if she couldn't keep him I would, and a few days later she realized she couldn't in her apartment so he came to live with me at my house. He's my pal. He's got the funniest quirks, he cracks me up every day.

Gargoyle is my little cat. I was working at a bar and found a tiny little black ball of fluff under my car in a rainstorm at closing, so I went in the bar got a beer box and took her home. She lived in the bathroom for a few days, but gets along fine with the other animals now. She thinks shes a dog and doesn't understand why Marley can go outside and she cant. I let her out on my patio when I'm home and people passing by talk to her all the time. One lady even called her sweet little cat, and I went out and told her that was funny because I call her little cat.

Oh yeah. I'm way done. I hated cats before I got mine, and now they crack me up all the time. They're so funny. I had pneumonia a couple of years ago, and Tesla wouldn't get off of me, she sat by my side for days, wouldn't leave me until I got better. Marley has godparents. I ask him "do you want to go to Laurel and Dougs?" and he starts jumping up and down and grabs a stuffed animal they gave him and runs and waits by the door. He's happy to see me leave him at their house.

The cats have an automatic cat feeder, I've left them for 3 days at most and they've been fine. Tesla and Mongrel are going to be my sister's cats here soon, she lives in Florida though.

I got all of my animals when my situation was different, I had a house and husband who was home all the time, and I worked 8-5. I don't think it's right for people to disregard their responsibilities (animals) just because their situation changed.
