What undesirable dive jobs have you done to be where you want to be . .e.g aquaculture
So iv'e worked for companies that don't pay, companies that are highly dangerous, companies that treat you like s***, companies that are just f***ed and all of the above mixed together . . sometimes I wonder is it worth it. I say to myself harden the f*** up we all have to make a living some how! Have seen guys go nothing to Sat just in an instance some just dwell on shore . . just curiouse . . Oh and Iv'e worked for some bloody awesome companies too

Thanks mate, you make me laugh . . so I have nothing to complain about, I could only hope to get a job in Nigeria, yeah you got part of my point. So I got many eventful years to come.

how about tubs of baramundi on deck pulled from cages decomposing in 40'C that are half liquid by the end of the day and have a complete covering of flys over the surface of the slop. stinky
removing a 300mm diameter hard marine growth covering on 32mm rope, 30 X 240m lengths with nothing but meat cleavers it definately wasn't in the job description when i agreed to go on that trip all i heard was untouched crystal clear spearfishing in a remote location with use of the dive dingy after 5hrs bottom time.
or contructing bridge pier formwork climbing through a maze of girders and beams in current, zero vis, half mask and scuba reg on the temar, no coms, no bailout, 30yrold crane with no fine movements lifting tonnes of steel with the method "up on the hook 30 seconds after i leave surface". young and gun ho.
job completed with out finger loss but promptly quit on completion.

Yeah been pulling out beams in nill viz and absolute raging current . . Later that day my sup was in got his leg crushed and near well lost it all together due to 2t beam and a clumbsy crane driver ,had we not had comms then well.....

Should have mentioned the fact he was in a kmb hat and not half masked and reg probably saved his life . . Footy pies ay don't call em that in aus

yeah definately not one of the smartest job choices i've made i dont recomend to any divers starting out to take those kind of risks to gain a foothold or experience, u only live once guys and gals. at the end of the day its only a job
plus a risk taking attitude not appreciated with big companies trying to push a "safety first" work practice in order to get contracts.
cant go past a good chunky steak, cheese and bacon footy pie

Taking out a dead dog, a few sheep and pigs and other debris out of a lockdoor-vent after a big flooding, that washed away a few farms, some years ago. Animals were so blown up and mush that it felt like big garbage bags stuck against a big grill. Cutting them in to pieces with my green river and metal-saw and bringing them back to surface. The dog came apart easy but the sheep needed a big wire cutter. Sounds awfull but... still one of the most exiting jobs I was on.
