Take 3.1u now or wait

Alright guys I fly out April 6th to attend my air-diving course at PDC. I'm going to also take the DMT there. Now I have the money to fly to UK and take the 3.1u course and fly back to U.S. .. Would it be worth it now or should I just slow down and get some work under my belt then take the exam.

First dive school - the DMT is always good where ever you end up.

Then after you get settled in some work and know where you're going, then take more courses.

Don't slow down, just get focused.

Highly unlikely you would get onto a 3.1u course this year. Last I heard the waiting list was about a year long. Get your diving tickets and do some work first.

I appreciate the advice the other guys are giving, it does make sense. But If you can afford it comfortably and there are spaces available then me personally i would do the course, its better to have the qualification in the back pocket and not use it for a while, than to get offered a job which needs 3.1u and have to turn it down...It makes you more employable to companies and you never know when there might be a offshore company that is finding it hard to recruit 3.1u divers...but as the other guys said experience also gets you them jobs..
