our pig on our lp compressor has no rust prevention on the inside and my sup is worried about future rust buildup giving us bad gas will normal breathing air filters remove the impurities (they wont remove co / co2) any info would be great thanx

on your air rack you need a cotton filter for moisture and a charcoal filter for co2.

yeah but i was wondering if the oxidisation process releases any harmful chemicals that conventional filter systems would not remove
As far as I know, charcoal does not remove CO2. Rust is oxidized metal. I do not know of any chemicals or gas released by rust / oxidation. I have never seen volume tank with rust preventative inside. That would probably be more dangerous than the rust. When they get old and rusty get a new one.
