1) do your research on the seller 2) If the serial number is not listed Ask for it before you bid 3) Call KMDSI USA-(805-928-7772) with the serial number and verify that it is not listed as stolen or a fake 4) Beware there have been many scams on E-Bay for Masks and Helmets coming out of the U.K. and else where
Ask for the serial #. Ask for the history of the hat. Who did they work for. Can you put the money in escrow 'till you receive the hat. What is the persons full name, address, and phone #s. Tell them you have a buddy working close to their location and would it be ok if they meet up and pay in cash.

If they balk at any of these questions, then back away. You can check out there answers with a little web search and a few phone calls.

If they ask you to pay via money order or bank transfer then it's a scam. Check with Paypal to make sure they have a verified address and account.

I bought a band mask about 3 years ago on ebay and it went just fine, but I used most of these questions to make sure it was ligit. Good Luck.
i know just how you feel.

when i got my 18 little used (realy) it cost me £300.00 to repair/ sort it for work.

hat was rotten all exhausts leaked, screen scratched, bailout valve stiff as hell and so on.

this is why i am having a problem still having a problem with the purhase of a 27/37 we do not have the work for a new new hat, so i am still in the market for a good little used secondhand one, caution as there is a lot of old and new S*** out there.

when you consider what we do with our gear, be it in a pond or heli you would think better kit would be around.
