Hi All

First of all I fully understand how difficult it is for some at the moment! I have the T Shirt!

I managed to have a busy year last year as an ALST and completed 2184 panel hours of the required
2400 needed to take the IMCA LST exam. So near, so frustrating!!!

If anyone can help with contacts for temp or short term position I would
be very gratefull.

Good luck to all who are looking for work.

Regards

Hi Adam. I'd like to know if one has to hold a bell diver certificate to apply for the ALST certificate? What are the requirements for taking the ALST course? Thanks for any input Adam.
Hi Erik

You do not need a bell cert to take the ALST course. There are no formal qualifications needed, however you do need a fairly good standard of Maths & Physics. Divers who take the closed bell course also cover the ALST course.
Once qualified as an ALST it can be extremely difficult to find work. It took me 18 months to secure my first position. You need to work offshore as an ALST for 2400 hours (200 days) before you can take your LST exam. Bearing all this in mind it is a great job.

Good Luck
