I'm looking for someone to work 2-3 months as a paid intern for the warehouse team of a Houston-based commercial dive company. The work would start around mid- to late-January.
This is NOT full-time work ---- it is an internship where you get to learn and put this on your resume while we get help with a large project in the warehouse. Nor is this a guarantee of future employment.
Skills and aptitudes needed:
- Familiarization with commercial dive equipment. If you currently in school, that is OK.
- Computer literate (Microsoft Word, web browsing, making PDFs). If you enjoy gaming on a PC, then you probably have enough computer skills for this work.
- Mechanically inclined. Do you like tearing stuff apart and then putting it back together again? Have you ever used hydraulic or pneumatic equipment? Those experiences help tremendously.
- Typing skills help (or being able to copy and paste)
Details:
- No benefits, just $$$
- $13/hour
- You must have your own transportation to get to work.
- You have to live (or currently be living) somewhere near Houston. We do not provide housing for out-of-town people for this position.
- Warehouse is located right next to George Bush Intercontinental Airport.
- You must be able to commit to 20-40 hours a week. Flexible schedule, but you have to be able to put in the hours. Less than 20 hours a week will not work for me. Nor do you get overtime.
- You will work in an office setting as well as in the warehouse. Dress code is jeans/Carhartts, safety boots, and company-issued safety t-shirt (standard oil-field type stuff).
If you are interested, email me at daniel.dolson@titansalvage.com. Send me your resume. Let me know how much you can work, such as if you are in school currently or have additional commitments during the work week such as another part-time job. Do not phone me, just email for now.
