How the diving market righ now? Is there much work?

I have been in the construction industry for 10 yrs and the market has just died. I was gonna go to school and get certified as a diver but was wondering are you guys and gals feeling the pinch as well?  Money is really tight right now and so is all of the federal grant money for education, so was just looking for some advice. Thanks again!
