I'm looking to start a career in commercial diving. I am currently a 24 year old freshman at Old Dominion University in Norfolk VA. I've been building log homes for the family business my entire life.

I've been looking at commercial diving schools. I was really interested in Commercial Diving Academy. I just can't come up with that kind of money, so I'm thinking of Louisiana Tech School.

Is there a big difference in the schools? How much more beneficial is the Commercial Diving Academy verses the Louisiana Tech school? What about when it comes time to find a job? If I could get any feedback, I would be greatly appreciated.

I want to be a deep sea diver. I'm no desk jockey, and I’m ready to get wet. I have what it takes to be a deep sea diver.

                                Thanks, Billy

The government covers a lot of the money for you. I wound up spending 1500 out of pocket then of course I have to pay off loans. Not too bad compared to the income.
