ACE when in the hell did the ADCI become a union?
ADCI is an employer trade association and there members set wages they are willing to pay to get there work done and the employee accepts or rejects the job.
Yes they made a million dollars, So what! who pays for Underwater Magazine that you receive every month for free?
You want better wages in the Gulf then organize the divers and get the companies to sign union agreements ( good luck on that one ).
Your going to need a few million bucks just to get out of your pickup and get started.
The Carpenters union made an effort and failed to organize the divers in Louisiana.
Right to work States is just that. And a SCUBA diver will cut your throat to take your job.

Hey Fred of course your right and I am aware of what you say here. I like you are well aware of all of that but I still like to sound off at the Corporate machines that do their best to heard us like sheep and think its ok and everyone will willingly follow.. Weather its diving corps.,helmet mfgs., gas companys or local and Federal Governments. Its just expressing my opinion as a honorable American Veteran. BAAAAAAAAAAAAA.

Starbucks is another company who sued an individual for posting criticism about their company. Starbucks claimed among other things that the parody tarnished the Starbucks trademark. The judge ruled that the logo was tarnished because of the word "whore." The logo still exists because the judge ruled people can continue using and distributing his logo, but he can't sell it for profit.
This site FordReallySucks.com, is a classic example of corporate trademark fair use, the transformation alone is all that is needed. Ford's lawsuit against them eventually failed as well and the website is still operational to this day.
And I cannot forget the most famous case of trademark fair use, parody, opinion, failed defamation and slander, and failed SLAPP lawsuit, McLibel. McDonald's tried desperately to shut this couple up from speaking out against their company. McDonalds spent Millions of dollars trying to subdue freedom of speech.

ADCI needs to familiarize themselves with the provisions of
15 U.S.C. 1125, particularly (c)(3)(C). But hey if ADCI wants to take the divers complaints out of these secular forums and toss them into the judiciary system spotlight so it is a matter of public record, then I say let them get froggy. Then the divers complaints and concerns over safety and lifes loss will be heard especially in light of last years BP incident.

Flynn Happy New Year to you Whats up well the weather here its 82 degrees and the water is beautiful here unlike what I see on tv there. So things here are "just right".
So starting out this New Year I need to bring you up to date here with a little Hawaiian history .
Flynn its not ok to call me haloe I dont think you wouldnt like it if I referred to you as big fat white boy would you well? The word haloe is not really ok, its kinda like honke, the N word etc.. Island boy well thats ok heres why. The word haloe was given to foriegners when they came to Hawaii mostly white people because in contrast the Hawaiian culture when they would meet with each other they would greet each other with a hug and put their foreheads together there by signifying they were one Hawaiian people and shared the same soul and often times brought each other a something for a gift.
Back in the days of Capt. Cook and later other newly arrived foriegners who came and didnt exibit and share the soul sharing rituals and didnt bring any gifts when they came to visit well it was noticed there by the name haloe evolved=no soul and no gift in their hands. Today the word is still used but those who dont know the history seem to unknownly tollerate it, I dont as I am well aware of its a true racial slur implications and the racial intollerance and predjuice that exists and go along with it. So I am not a honke or a haloe thanks for listening because now you know buddy. Ace

If the ADCI wishes to be respected I would suggest spending more time putting out SAFETY Flashes then worrying about their logo.
You know something that lets the working people know what caused any of the number of deaths or near misses over the last 10 years.
