Alert ! Lately I have heard way too many stories of how divers and tenders are  getting bent over by under funded contractors and not paid properly. Because of todays economy some under funded contractors are acting like flaky poor broke d*** wantabe's in the handling of their divers and tenders pay.

Divers and tenders warning before you leave your town on some what seems to be great dive job by plane be sure you HAVE A ROUND TRIP AIRPLANE TICKET IN YOUR HAND anything less is just courting a disaster and COULD COST YOU BIG BUCKS OUT OF YOUR POCKET TO GET YOU BACK HOME.

Jobs can change in a moments notice and when they go sideways all bets are off you can be left high and dry in a moments notice not a good position to be in when your out of town and far from home, Protect yourself from these situations.

More than once I have had sweet talking contractors tell me oh yea I committ to you being on this out of town job only to have them renig or the job go sideways thus leaving the diver with a airplane ticket to pay for out of his pocket. We all do the same job so protect yourself and get a round ticket up front in your hand if you dont it becomes an expensive story for you to have to pay for.

Doctors do it why shouldnt Divers be able to do it too so Dont be affraid to ask for upfront money to insure you will at least get paid for  a week or two and the job you are going to isnt a waste of your time. The economy and the times have changed. All things are not always like they seem. I love being a diver.
