Hey guys, Ive been diving in Australia for over 4 years on shore, ive got my ADAS lvl 3m, DMT ticket, dogging, bosiets, coxswains. But am really keen to break into offshore in foreign countries...
Im thinking of going to singapore in december 2009 to go door knocking and try and base my self out there...what do you think my chances are?
Any tips for a travelling diver? ie: place to look for work, companies, local hangouts, good place to stay...
cheers!!

lot of people in the same vote dude, not many are going to divulge tips and techniquies just to have more competion at the next interview.
Jason, have you considered sussing out the biggies in Perth? You'll find they are branch offices with connections to Singers, Indonesia, Phillipines, etc. So- a much more practical option if you can get on with Technip, Hallin, etc. and move through to foreign postings ...or not. Singers is a fun trip but better have cash reserves if you don't hook up for a moth or two-a lot of competition out there. good luck-
