Hey Chad do your own home work take your time to read all the past posts on this site. That will tell you everything you need to know. You have to do your own home work!!

Be sure to read the part where Flynn says "we already have enough tenders and wana b'ee divers to last us for the next 60 years". That should be etched under your eye lids before you act on your dream and let go with your hard earned cash. You now have all the information anyone can give you. Read the postings anyway. Good luck.

well what ever you do become a weld tech you will be in the water all the way threw your schooling. MED tech and NDT you will be in a class room or riding in a ambulance for months. weld tech will also prepare you for the real world of diving and what kind of work you will be doing in the field. Another words real dirty work were you are black from head to toe.

Go back to school and get a degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Civil Engineering.

Then go to dive school, that degree will help you up the ladder of success.

The more you know the more money you make.

Mechanical and Electrical Engineering is what is needed now and in the future for the work class ROVs.

And by all means learn to weld.

Red hats listen to what Fred has to say here, now go get me a cup of coffee and make it hot!
