Hello,

I'll go to N.Y.D. course part one the 3th august of this year and I would like to know how it is and after the course (end the 3th december) where we can work.

I 'm from France TOULON.

Thank you for your attention

Are you sure it's a part 1 course as in "HSE Surface Supplied + Topup"? A French "Classe II" is something else.

Bon voyage
I think so : Surface Oriented Diver Part 1 Course
I would like to do the classe 2 in France INPP but there is one place at the end of 2012, it's very late.
What I mean is that it's not a HSE cert. The HSE Surface Supplied + Topup certification used to be called Part 1 too, my mistake. I don't see why you would have to do the "Classe II" aswell.
after this course i must ask an equivalence to INPP MARSEILLE to have class2 certificate.
i'd like to know if i can work on offshore after the course or if i must get the BOSIETand HUET.
you must have the bosiet & huet
ok thank you Bill

If it's this course you're on, I don't see why you need to ask an equivalence in order to get work offshore. It's recognized by IMCA, HSE and the Dutch NDC.
Another thing, if you're still in need of a medical, try to get a HSE medical given by a HSE doctor. I had problems before with a french medical in England. The inspector asked if I had a copy in English on me. I didn't and wasn't allowed to dive.
sorry but the equivalence is just to work in France
thanks for the HSE doctor
nyd has advertised some companies that are currently looking for divers.by companies I mean fish farming and scallops picking companies. I think there is one that is onshore related and focused on maintenance of vessels (prop polishing etc.). entry level jobs that in most cases serve as a springboard to either inshore or offshore related work depending on what you'd like to do in the future. I can keep you updated since I'm starting my course tomorrow but from what I've heard so far it is very professional.
ok thank you for your attention
