Worked in 1/2" bib w/ 1/4" vest & 3/8 jacket. very confining, but warm, salvaging rolls of fencwire & misc. from a boxcars, raised hell with drysuits.

Yes spent years in them doing sea urchin diving on the West Coast. Heres how they were set up on the farmer john it was 1/2" from the knees up, from the knees down it was 3//8" for flexibility. On the jacket the attached hood was made of 3/8" rubber as were the sleeves the main torso was 1/2" rubber with a zipper running from the chest downward no zippers in the farmer john or legs. The rubber was nylon on the outside and the inside was smooth rubber. We used cheap hair conditioner from the $1.00 store to slide into the suits for lubrication. A very toasty suit with flexibility when the suits were brand new it took a little time for the depth pressure of of about 60' to 70'+ to crush the suit. These were custom suits made by M&B suits in the Long Beach, Ca. area and also from Ducket dive suits,Santa Barbara. I hope this helps guide you to what ever project your going to work on.
I could use a 1/2 hood right now!
What no hot water machine hose to stick down your back to keep you warm ?
