DESCRIPTION:The Asia-Pacific Section holds quarterly meetings where me
 mbers discuss IMCA's global work and local issues, with clients and po
 tential member guests joining the meetings for presentations on curren
 t IMCA work and a variety of other topical issues. Meetings move aroun
 d the region, with recent venues including Australia, Indonesia, Malay
 sia, Singapore and Thailand.\n\nThe section is also active between mee
 tings on national regulatory developments, where members are briefed a
 nd consulted and industry responses submitted by IMCA as required, and
  through workgroups set up from time to time for specific work items, 
 which have help further enhance the range of guidance produced by the 
 association.\n\nMembers in the region elect representatives to serve o
 n each of the association's committees that direct the world-wide work
